We build them, retrofit them, and design/fabricate all kinds of custom sampling equipment. You can check some of them out at www.midwestlake.com where you can find a brief overview of what we do (follow the Profesional Fisheries link on our site). We actually have 2 retrofits and one new, custom build in our shop as I type. In fact one of them is a retrofit for a client in Texas. He actually brought to us a new hull he bought from Gator Trax in Louisiana- so it's a pretty slick project. The other retrofit is for the US Fish and Wildlife Service, and the shiny new big dog is for a university professor in Indiana.

We also just had a small video produced that is being editted now but you can see it nearly completed at:

www.torchwerks.com/twclients/ben/electrofish.wmv

One of the edits that needs to be done is that our phone number is incorrect at the end of the video but it is correct on our website.

We'll be gone for a week starting this Saturday for the American Fisheries Society conference and trade show in Seattle so if you're interested in talking, we might be hard to catch until next Friday.

You're also welcome to venture to KC sometime between the 8th and 12th of Sept if you want to see firsthand three projects with varying degrees of complexity and cost. This current wave boats will begin their respective journeys to their new homes between Sept 12 and Oct 1. Just a thought, but it's a rare opportunity to have 3 different types of builds going on at the same time.

By the way, the $70K you mentioned from S-R doesn't include a motor or trailer- at least with their H or EH models!

We've done boat projects and/or provided equipment for state, federal and university biologists across the US, Canada, and even South America as well as independent ranch owners, commericial utility companies and private consulting biologist such as some that frequent this site like Wade Bales (SC), Greg Grimes (GA), Trent Lewis (TX), Todd Overton (TX), Nate Herman (IL), and Bill Wingo (TX).

We occassionally deal in used equipment as well, but it typically goes fast.
