I measured some LMB yesterday and the 10-13" fish are weight and length proportionate. The 18" LMB are only 2.3-2.5 lbs. I would have thought the larger bass would have out competed the smaller ones for the limited forage? Mark: There was once enough forage for those LMB to get to that size, but not enough to sustain them at that size. The larger LMB are expending more energy for smaller bites of food, something that would be called "going on a diet" for us humans. Unfortunately, they were forced on the diet for too long of a long time, and lost too much weight.
