Yeah, what Travis said. Yellow and White are different fish. Yellow bass are small. The one in the picture I took is typical, with very few getting much larger than that. On our local fisheries forum, a guy started a thread about white X yellow cross, suggesting that hybridization might cut back on the yellow population. After some research, I think it's been shown that while hybridization occurs naturally in the wild between the 2 species, the yellow bass will eventually completely deplete the white bass population and take over.
