The rutt is definitely getting close! It is absolutely pouring here right now, but is supposed to clear out by noon. I am hoping to get out tomorrow evening... Haven't hunted nearly as much this year as I have in the past. Seeing lots of new rubs and scrapes... The peak of the chasing phase is gonna early next week I think.
We've got our special annual antlerless 2-day hunt this Friday and Saturday (
Hampshire County Antlerless Hunt ) I think the rut already started last weekend out our way. The deer were turned really skiddish. There were no new hoof prints down at the pond over the whole weekend.
