This is what it's all about ....





Friday night sat in a pop-up blind at feeder hoping for a hog.
Nice buck walked within 25 ft of me and ambled to feeder and circled feeder couple of times eating, and spotted me in the blind. We had a staring contest and deer finally ambled into the brush.
Must have known deer season not to start until next morning.

Next morning same thing but a yearling buck - he knew he was safe with me. Enjoyed watching the sun come up and the woods come alive.
Still no hogs - they were all down in the bottom rooting up the pasture.

Great weekend - no deer taken - sons all experienced hunters and they have a "ten point" rule - lots of deer seen.
"Thirteen Inch" rule aplies to grandsons and grand nephews when it's their week to hunt.

Lots of food and fellowships and one on one time with my sons.
