FWIW, "average catch" for me is the look-at-the-numbers-and-guess-because-I-don't-feel-like-statistics average length of each species in my fishing log. Of course, I don't keep track of tiny BG who somehow manage to get hooked. And my average HSB last year was 16.5", but only one was big enough to make it to average size.
