Quartered away as an entry wound, depending on angle, the bolt could have intersected both lungs where the right would have borne most of the damage. Same quartered towards where the wound is the exit wound. Sometimes deer do not cooperate with broadside opportunities. I figured that this was one of those cases where a decision had to be made before the opportunity was lost.
