Caught fishing without permission

We were driving past our LMB pond last night, and my wife said "Something just made a great big splash!" Then we saw this fellow fly up from the water and land on a dead Ash.

He gives our local Osprey some competition.

When I was a kid, I never thought I'd see a Bald Eagle in Ohio, let alone on property I owned.

I used to have the a long time ago.,

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Had two fish my lower pond , first week of May, this year, sure they were migrating. A wonderful sight. Hope they visit next year, going both directions.
Not nearly as upsetting as the Cormorants .

Any who doubt Bald Eagles readily eat carrion haven't seen them help clean up after a fish kill.
