Our Pond Dredging Rehab Progress
We purchased this home in July 2019. Our home sits on 30 acres and has a pond right outside our deck and patio. When we purchased the home the pond was covered in duck weed. After some chemicals, surface raking and aeration she started to look so much better! This summer, after a long dry spell she was not looking so great, no one wanted to go in with many feet of muck, over ran by frogs, snapping turtles and leaches so we decided to drain and dredge. Here are some photos of before, during and after! Hoping by next spring she will be ready for some fish and swimming in the summer. Husband decided to extend a deck of of the existing cement patio out over the water while there was very little water in our pond. Pond received new dam with culvert and pipe. The pond is spring fed at one end. Pond began to fill with a couple good rains. Spring is a trickle right now with little rain all summer.

I'm only able to see the one picture of the house by the pond.
Excerpt from Robert Crais' "The Monkey's Raincoat:" "She took another microscopic bite of her sandwich, then pushed it away. Maybe she absorbed nutrients from her surroundings."

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
