My Best Longear so far
This Longear is my best so far. I estimate 7.5" from the photo. The pixel length of the fish is 6 times the pixel length of the lure. The lure is a bitsy minnow if I recall correctly and I measured it to be 1.25". I don't think I had ever caught a LES over 6" before this fish. Sorry about the image quality but took with my phone. Was a very broad and healthy fish.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Thank you Dave. I took 3 photos of this fish but it was twirling around. This was the only broadside image. I'll add one of the others as they show just how plump that fish was. I was looking at a length weight table and it suggested .333 lbs (which is heavier than BG at 7.5"). This fish might have been 1/2 in longer than I determined as the fish was curling its tail a bit. My impression of it was that it was in the neighborhood of 1/2 lb. But I didn't weigh it.
