OTS CNBG
I put 1800 OTS CNBG this past October. Kids were catching them as fast as they could drop a line. I am pretty happy with there growth.
My pond looked like the Red River until yesterday. I added 400# of Alum and 250# of Lime. (Mixed separately and very well with a 2" pump)
Rainman/anyone, What is the longest amount of time you have experienced until they start to eat feed again? I am sure they are somewhat shocked due to the clarity now. Some of them are now eating mosquitoes off the top but they wont touch the feed. They have been on Optimal 2x/day for the past 5 months.
Pond is 1 surface acre and rought 5 acre water. (18' deep)
ps: Rainmain, not sure if you know but your PM box is full, unable to message you.
I blame the lack of color on the MUDDY water. Hope they get there real colors back now that the Alm has been applied.

Our perch took a good week before they went back to the feed after treating our pond.
With any luck you will get a good bloom to cloud the water again.

Thanks for the info Dono. They started pecking at it today. My boys are catching them on worms with no problem.

New pond last fall. 1/2 acre with 13' max and 4.5' mean depth. Stocked fatheads and 250 hybrid minnows. In Iowa and still no sign of life this spring yet. Water temp 54°. Want to stock more fish this spring but am hesitant.

 Get a swimming pool thermometer. You won't see signs of much life until the water temp climbs into the low 60's at 1' below the surface.

I'd answered this in a PM, but since the alum seems to have been properly applied, there will be no "shock" to the fish, other than being able to go crazy eating all the forage they can now see! They're munching on natural forage and will take feed as soon as the forage is thinned some.
