I am not sure I am getting the hang of the new form. It seems my name has changed to Eric_Dup1???? How do I change it back? Also I do not see my little rating stars anymore. Not that its that important but I am just trying to understand how to change things back again. Any help around this would be appreciated.
Also am I the only one or has the form slowed down to a painful pace to get into and around since the change???

Good question, Eric. The old profile had a place where you could change your display name, IIRC. The new profile does not seem to (I verified that "Custom Title" does not change the display name, it adds a line before "Lunker").
I don't know about start selection/deselection with the new software, either.

Did I do something to delete member numbers under the posters name while I was trying to "learn" this new setup?

There seems to be a great deal of things missing that we once had. Is there any of the moderators or the design crew that can answer any of these questions?????? If not I am about to bail on this profile. I do not like being called dup1

So you just got changed to _dup1 out of nowhere? How strange. I liked it better when you were just plain Eric. Can you send a PM to JP? He should be able to change it on his end, but it seems reallly strange that you're the only one that's happenned to.
I'm pretty sure that all the old ratings were obliterated, but you're a 5-star to me.

Bruce, JP? I have been out of it for a bit and not aware of JP. Is his name/profile JP? Thanks and Yes I just got changed out of nowhere and also lost the rating stars (Thanks for the nice comments as well)and no longer see the numbers as it relates to when we joined. Strange stuff when we got the new Forum.

J.P. Greeson is the ultimate forum guru. You can search him on the user list and send him a PM query as to why your name changed.
I'll bet he can fix it.

Sorry to disappoint, dup1, but Cecil Baird1 and Dave Davidson1 were cloned before you, using less refined early techniques. Which explains a lot.

Eric; When Cecil, George and I had the problem, we just logged in as a new user with a different name. Mine was from changing computers. It just couldn't make the connection. You might try something like NewandimprovedEric. I wouldn't sweat it. We know there's only one Eric.

ERIC,you're not alone with having problems with the new system.I was gone for a while and couldn't get logged back on.Had to get a temporary password but I believe I'm in the system,now.System does seem much slower than before.Then again,I have an old computer & rather spend my declining yrs pondmeistering than computering.I guess I'm not willing to spend the time necessary to stay current with all the advances. Oh well,I'd rather be fishing.
