There have been a few recent posts reguarding Blue Catfish. In Georgia the only catfish hatcheries sell are Channel Catfish which I stocked and are doing great. How is a Blue different than a Channel and why stock both?

Blue Cats grow up to 150 pounds and bigger have been reported. Channel cats grow up 50 to 60 pounds. Blue differance in looks are they light blue to a dark blue coloration. Blue cats also have a "humped" back. Blue cats eat the same food a channels until they get to 20 pounds or more. Then they eat live baitfish for the majority of their diet.
