I went to the pond to feed my duck some dog food and saw some good activity. First I fed the duck and when she got her fill of the dog food then the BG started moving in to get some. While they where feeding I saw one of the 4 lb LMB eating food from the bank. He came back and forth about 6 or 7 times and ate from different spots along the dam. He would eat and run to deeper water then would return back for another bite. This went on for several minutes untill the CC started feeding. They went off all at once, like someone flipped a switch. While they started feeding heavy on some dog food that was floating away from the BG and LMB, the duck returned to eat the rest of the food from them. It was like the duck didn't want the CC to have or share any food. I thought all of this was interesting. I never expected any of the fish to eat only the duck.

would that be a faux-pas? I believe that the feeding part of this pond business is the most entertaining part. It is as much fun as the fishing. I have a number of different kinds of fish and two types of tilapia that are cross breeding so there is always something going on. Watching the pecking order, seeing the fry being eaten, coincidentally while they are chewing on a pellet, when a larger fish eats the same pellet or when the pacu panic because they frighten themselves and fish come flying out of the water in every direction, upside down and even backwards.
