I've done quite a bit of reading at this site.Enough to realize how much i don't know! I'll probably be meeting with Bob in a few weeks, but i was curious about a couple of things that i was hoping maybe to get some input on. I'm going to be building a new 3/4 acre pond here in the north texas area. I have well water to supplement the pond, which will be close to my house. My wife see's a big water feature with a fountain. I ,on the other hand, just want to play with fish! 1. How deep would you make the pond, and what kind of depth variation would you have? 2. would you have gravel/and or rock spread into a shallow area for spawning? Any other pre-positioned stucture? I thought i would put in some artificial trees after filling up the pond. 3. I thought maybe i should stock BG and Tilapia for basic forage for the predator fish. The predator fish would be ???? I would like to have a species that is the least susceptible to fishing pressure.. I love SMB, but i don't know how practical they would be. What do you'all think? future pond boss subscriber, howard
