The Japanese beetle have been heavy this year so we have been feeding them to the fish on a regular basis. My daughter has them trained pretty well.

Even some bass get in on the action

Jayman, my hatred of the Japanese beetle knows no bounds. I would love to find some use for the #*!!@ things, and I can think of none better than to see them devoured by BG. But, how do you ketch the little boogers so that they are fit to feed? I know only three ways: squash, poison, or bait&bag.

We hand pick them and toss them into a plastic cup with a little water on the bottom. This year it only takes a few minutes to collect a hundred or so. They seem to congregate on grape, rasberry, and blackberry bushes, all of which we have a lot of.

I thought about cutting the bottom out of one of the bag traps and positioning it over the pond but after reading all the warnings on the bait container I decided against it.

LOL, yeah I have worried about that. We are probably going to harvest a few bass this weekend. I think she will be OK with it. I think... ;\)

They have been real thick on red clover flowers in the hayfields at my place. I collected a bunch two nights last week and chucked them in the pond; only a few got eaten. Must have to do with the service.

Unfortunately, I don't think the pink shoes have anything to do with it. You decide:

LOL, low blow. \:D

Probably the fact that we dont feed the fish pellets has more to do with it. If I recall correctly my BG did not love them at first and the bass watched the BG eat them for at least 2 weeks before they decided to give it a try.

You're somehow aware I cropped the bottom of that picture off to keep from revealing my pink rubber boots, aren't you Sunil?

I once took a shot at Theo many moons ago (egged on by Sunil; go figger). Sunil's only reply to finalize the "dig into Theo session" was a one word post: Harsh
Sunil....Dejavu, dude. ;\)

That being said and documented, it should be duly noted that Theo is a stand-up guy and takes more arrows in the butt than Custer...and still rides off to face another battle.

Just remember though...

Theo is internalizing all of these things. They're slowly building and building. Theo thinks he's OK, and that it's all in fun, and he'll even take a poke at himself. But the reality is that he'll snap at some point. It's not going to be a pretty sight. Stand clear.

Could it be...nah, no way....but then again....
Theo is the chosen one to lead an entire race of demonic RES to global dominance? Will the day come that we will kneel before Theo and Mini-Theo, begging forgiveness for insensitive cruelties we have wrought? Say it ain't so, Bruce...say it ain't so.

I always knew that Nehru jacket would come back in style - and it looks great with my pink boots!

ewest, flipper is not doing as well as I had hoped. He's not conducting himself as I had thought he would; turns out he has a devilish streak in him and it's costing me.

So far, I've lost three HSB who were competing against flipper in a "how long can you hold your breath out of water?" challenge. I know it sounds silly, but I would have lost more HSB if I hadn't showed up when I did and threw the other ten back into the water. Flipper just gave me a sh#t eating grin, let out some kind of squeaky laughter and proceeded to tail splash me as he swam away.

On another note, I believe Theo has enough internalization capacity to hold him over until the March '07 meeting. It's important for us to "fill him up" with angst until then.
