As a B.A.S.S. member for over 25 years I can tell you they USED to offer a video of the construction of Ray Scotts lake in Alabama. Bass Pro Shops used to sell it, And they even aired that tape on TNN back about 10 or so years ago in place of a tournament show. Since Ray Scott sold out to ESPN I haven't seen the video. If I remember correctly Greg Grimes was actually at Ray's lake for something? Maybe he knows how to get a copy of that tape, It was a real cool segment I saw on TNN.I wouldn't mind getting a hold of that tape myself!

Here is a link to my site an the video series you are talking about. It is ok on stocking advice but has some great ideas about improving the cover in an existing pond. It is worth the price for the three video series. Let me know if you want it, Greg http://www.lakework.com/products_videos.html

FWIW: I hate to be negative, but I bought that video series several years back from Bass Pro and was really disappointed. One of the tapes in the three part series was even blank and I should have tried to return them all, but didn't. That is my fault and I might have thought the series worthwhile if that other tape hadn't been blank... My disappointment was probably magnified due to my having high hopes and expectations. So... YMMV I know several think the tapes are wonderful. I haven't watched the videos for years and wasn't even able to find them the last time I looked.
Also FWIW: I think there is a potential market out there for a really good video series on DVD that does a much better job of addressing all the questions and issues. Chapters on pond location, design, construction, maintenance, repair, structure, fish selection, stocking, evaluation, feeding, weed identification, control, etc.
Final FWIW: I thought Ray Scott's video was half educational, quarter fluff, and quarter sales pitch all blended together. I loved seeing the big fish and etc., but that didn't provide any useful information to help me. I love seeing big fish, but would prefer to watch that at the end as a trailer or on TV. I'm sure the others he referenced in the series are great people, but parts were almost a sales pitch and I'm not in Georgia or wherever. I think including contact information, etc. for consultants, vendors, in a seperate chapter of the DVD that people could access or avoid would be perfectly fine and even beneficial to include, but not as part of the main video. A video series done right could be a win win situation for the customers, vendors and consultants.
Sorry for jumping in... Obviously some personal disappointment and frustration not at all related to anything but my thoughts on the video... In fact, I have email corresponded with Greg, was impressed, and am strongly considering buying a feeder or two from him next year.

sorry Ric did not see your question. Not avail on CD sorry.
Rangersedge, I appreciate your opinion and believe the video could be better especially in the fish side. WHo knows maybe I will have one in the near future. However, for the money I think it is a good investment. I charge quite a bit to come out and help design a lake and someone could get lot of info in that dept. with the video. ALso by far the best of the three videos is on adding cover, etc to existing pond and I think you did not get that one. You should have called them Ray Scott has excellent customer service. Thanks
