Hey guys,
I am thinking about sinking some green cedar trees. Is there any adverse effects of doing this with green trees over ones that have already dried out? thanks.

I hope not. I do it every year. And they work very well. You might want to read some of the old post about where to place them. 4' - 8' seems to work best.

I understand that they do contaminate the water as they deteroriate. But if you do not put in enough of them at once to raise the percentage of contamination in the water to dangerous levels, then it is not a problem.
Used to know exactly what contaminates they exuded, but cant remember at this time.
