ah, the mysterious appearing fish phenomena.

Some say "the birds" - dropped them in.

Others say "turtles" - eggs rode over from another pond.

We have even heard "tornados" - collecting and dropping fish.

All interesting:

MTB, with a mix like that – I suspect someone “did you a favor” and slipped some in OR the fish came in from your watershed, perhaps a stocked lake up stream.

I have personally seen fish fall from the sky during a severe thunderstorm that spawned some tornados. We were out in the yard after the worse blew over and perch and sunnies began falling into the yard. The nearest lake was several miles away.

Gotta get back to fishin!

If it can rain cats & dogs, then I wouldn't see why it couldn't rain perch and sunnies.

Excerpt from Robert Crais' "The Monkey's Raincoat:"
"She took another microscopic bite of her sandwich, then pushed it away. Maybe she absorbed nutrients from her surroundings."

What about any ex's, mother in law or neighbors? Naw, they wouldn't do that for you. I would go for a tornado, upstream watershed, or birds.
