I know it's a bad picture. But any idea what type of carp this is? I never added carp to my pond.

That look like a common carp to me. Looks kind of big for your pond's age. Have you had high water this year?

Correct, Common Carp and probably 10+ pounds? Methods of "contamination" could be minnows that are wild caught or a high water event meaning overflow from another BOW or stream/creek.

I got those critters in my pond from a fish truck in Fat head minnows when I first stocked. Now every time it fills up and runs over the spillway into a small retention pond I catch a handful of baby carp. Looks by the shape of them the LMB would eat them….the largest one I have seen in the pond was close to 2-1/2’ long. Wished I would’ve had a rifle with me…..should I try to get rid of all that I can or say oh well

As long as you have only one, that could be a good thing for the pond habitat. If a male & female are present then you should be managing for higher numbers of LMB who like eating small common carp. If you have a M&Fcarp, then you should be looking and learning from videos onYoutube of how to catch common carp who are very prolific.

Unfortunately Mr Bill have minnow trapped few baby carp in the overflow spillway retention pond so they are populating . But have never caught one probably cause I haven’t fished for them. Haven’t seen any damage ( muddy water) . With the slim spike rush almost covering the whole pond bottom I assume they don’t eat that stuff
