Doubt seriously that I will get on a couple of skinny sticks and go downhill. I’m 82 yoa, arthritic, and sometimes a foot goes in a direction that I hadn’t planned. Still devilishly handsome though.
In earlier days I’ve climbed and hunted those mountains when I was younger, stupid and bullet proof. But, that was a heckuva long time ago.
These days, I’m an observer more often than a participant in exciting, interesting, fun and/or stupid stuff. On my rural property, I’ve outsourced, firewood cutting, land clearing and tractor maintenance to son in law and grandsons.
But, I’m still in charge of a rifle/pistol ranges, fishing holes and liquor cabinet.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Boy, if I say "sic em", you'd better look for something to bite. Sam Shelley Rancher and Farmer Muleshoe Texas 1892-1985 RIP Grandpa

I recently purchased a property in Stuart, VA and am now the proud owner of a 1/2 acre spring fed pond. I don't know the history of the stocking of the pond, but the only thing I have caught thus far was a 12 inch large mouth bass. I have plans for homesteading and would love for the pond to be a self-sustaining well balanced fishery, or at a minimum a fun fishing hole. I found Pond Boss when searching for info on how to stock a pond.
Hi! We’re from South Mississippi and have the blessings of gaining access to a decent size pond/lake!( btw what’s the difference!? lol) Anyhoo thanks for the add! Lots of questions as we’ve only ever salt water fished so this is a whole other level of fishing frustration. Been feeding the Bream with fish food from the deck so they are there!! Getting them to bite a hook 🪝 is another question! Plenty of questions for you pros but I’ll go the respectful threads. Thanks again for the add. Why did it take me this long to know the love and serenity of sittin on the dock and just being still!? Happy Easter
