We have a large lake/pond and want to add a floating pier and covered dock. The lake is approx 30-40ft deep where the covered dock will be located. We are located in ground zero hurricane path. We know we can anchor the pier to the Bank, but the covered deck, how to anchor that in deep water? In the event of a hurricane, we would love to be able to unhook and bring it close to the shore, but not sure if that’s an option. Would love your thoughts and input. TIA

How much does your water level fluctuate? We have a floating dock on a lake that can rise 20 feet. Lots of pipe and cement at the bank connection. Hinges at both ends of the plank (shore end and dock end). It also a triangulation strut that's hinged on both ends. We get winds, but not hurricane winds. Imagine a covered dock would make quite a sail!
