Has any one had any success with this. I have a new pond that was just constructed and we got like 6 inches of rain in a 3 day span. That 6 inches of rain rose the pond about 4 feet. Just seeing if anyone has had any luck with this min amount of runoff. Also i already had about 5 feet of water in it. Now i got about 2.5 more feet to go until full. I feel like i see these ponds all the time with little to no runoff. Especially the ones along the interstate. Located in washington Missouri

I have a rainwater filled pond and yeah one good rain will almost fill up the pond but to get it completley full it takes many more downpours.

That sounds about right to me. However, lots of factors including how far the water comes from aka amount of drainage. Also, a lot soaked into the ground.
My largest pond is about an acre and we got a recent 3 inches over a couple of days. Mine came up about a foot and I can only dream about a 4 ft rise. I need about 4 more feet.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Around here we have 200+ acres of drainage but unless it’s a hard rain that comes down fast none of it gets to the pond until the water table rises enough to trickle in. Sand soaks it up. Our puddle has been full only several times in ten years. Luckily it’s full now
