I'm a new guy here. I got a 1.1-acre pond with a Foutain its 7 feet deep half the pond and 4 feet the other half. I stocked 90 HSB 5-7 inchers and 100 rainbow trout and 25 brown trout 12inch. Share your thoughts. Plan on feeding Zeigler 42-16 5mm floating

Have you stocked any forage fish?
What brand of fountain having what HP and gallons sprayed per hour? .
Have you ever taken any water temperature measurements at the 7ft depth in July-August that are critical times for survival of trout? When trout quit feeding at the surface in July-Aug they are at high risk of dying. Dead fish do not always float. It may be hard to recognize in Jul-Aug if the pellet eating fish are HSB or trout.
Pond with 7ft maximum depth provides very little water volume of cool water refuge for trout that require high dissolved oxygen (DO) concentration. As the water approaches 70F it holds significantly less DO.

Id only use that fountain at night during the hot spells or youll just be heating up the water, is it spring fed? those trout need an area of refuge and 7 feet is pretty shallow unless you have a cold area.. Shade is important as well, if it is surrounded by thick tall trees itll help, if it is out in the open youll have a hard time keeping them alive without a cold water source.
If you plan on making it a put and take lake then just stock it in the spring and keep everything you catch, and then stock in the fall and do the same. Between the heat and predators itll be tough to keep the trout alive.
But more info is needed for the pros on here. Inlets, cold water sources, terrain, sources of aeration etc.
Have fun!

Lake is tucked up against a north slope and half is shaded almost all day. Fountain is a 1/2hp kasco. Inlet is a 12in pipe has constant flow about half pipe with lots of velocity i would be guessing at least 200 to 300 gpm. I have only seen a few of the hsb since the stocking and found a few dead? Todays big question is why are they not taking pellets. All I see are trout feeding. The trout are growing rapidly

If it is warm enough for the hsb then more may have perished than you thought
