I'll let the smart ones give you their best guess, but I do know we had a good spawn in November. I saw thousands of fry. I still see a large amount of small fish on the warmer days in the shallows.

With the date posted I would guess the dead BG was spawned in Sept. Slow growth in the Fall/winter. If the BG was borne in May it would be 3 times that size by fall - assuming enough food.
