I am trying a cheap Amazon solar light at the end of my dock to attract bugs this spring/summer to determine if it might attract fish. If nothing else it might help me from the boat find the dock at night. ![[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]](https://i.postimg.cc/JhtZFwKY/Dock-1-Edit.png) ![[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]](https://i.postimg.cc/RFHfMckc/Dock-Edit-2.png)

I've got a light hanging off my dock. Bluegill swarm it all night long in the summer, bugs galore! Every once in a while something big flashes through and the bluegill dissappear for a short time.

Same here. Even had a few BCP show and stand on their heads looking down…. Don’t know what they were eating but was fun to watch

Good deal guys. I don't have electric wired on dock, so was hoping this solar experiment would work. I use the same solar lights in my backyard at home and they work great.

My wife had me put up some cheap solar lights in the distant reaches of our backyard. They are still shining brightly at midnight, but certainly don't make it to 4AM.
Since you do not require illumination all night, I think your solar light will do just fine as an attractor for many hours.
