Happy Birthday, DD1!
Hopefully this next year passes with very little storminess in your life ... and lots of storminess at your ponds!

I hope you got a lot of what you wanted as you enjoyed the journey to the land of analgesics and NSAIDs. Too bad if you didn't because it's too late now. Happy Birthday anyway, My Old Friend.

LOL!. Yeah, that too, Sunil, aling with ridiculous frequency. But if Dave did it right, and I suspect that he did, there's a lot of great memories.

Thanks all. I made it to 82.
One more year that my Dad was wrong about. He told me that I wouldn’t live long enough to vote because somebody was going to blow my damfool head off.
Dudley, I’ve hit the age that memories are getting dim.

Going snow skiing in about a month. Wife and daughters idea. Sounds like a damfool idea to me. I’ll go but expect I’ll chicken out on the skiing.

I know some guys approximately your age that still go skiing. However, they have all been skiing for 50+ years. They flow down the mountain like a silk ribbon.
When I skied a lot (including blacks) I did NOT look like that, and always took a few hard falls.
"Break a leg" is great advice to actors before starting a performance. It is not so great advice for people that still like to go out on their own land for outdoor activities!

We visited a 95 year old neighbor last night. She complained that during last year's Christmas visit, her youngest son snuck down to the basement and took all the bindings off all her skies! Apparently, this was the "I used to be on the Ski Patrol" equivalent of having your car keys taken away.
