The Oklahoma rain has definitely been spotty. We've had 6.2 inches in Nov. I've kept records from my place for 20 years, this is the wettest Nov. on record.

We had Zero in Oct. and less than 6 inches for the preceding 3 months.

Hopefully we all have a bonus of rain during the remainder of the year.

I just got 3.5 inches last week. Neighbors got about 7. I’m on a high hill where a lot of the clouds split. But, I’m not whining. My ponds came up about 3 ft.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

How the heck can that happen?

Oh, yeah - runoff. I almost remember that.

Verifying zero on the deer rifle today I noticed that the neighbors pond that will run into mine IF we get enough rain is covered with duckweed or watermeal or both. I will walk over there and put fluridone in it asap. No fish, it's basically just a 30x75 depression in the ground in the woods. Previous neighbor dug it but only went about 7' deep, and now it will dang near dry up 100% in dry weather. No fish except some FHM that I toss in there every year to help eat mosquito larvae.

We got another 2 inches last night. Brought the pond up about 10 inches.

Record November for us.
Pond is still about 5' low

Several areas around me got 3+ inches.

Drove to Pasadena TX today for work, rained almost all the way.
