I can't get any sympathy from my family and friends so I'll try here. I wanted talapia last year but missed getting them. This year, after listening to Meadowlark talk so much about them, I was dying to get them. Arm's fish farm is close to me but he gets one shipment late May so I called Overton's and told them I'd come through from visiting inlaws. I stayed an extra day so I could drive through Monday. Monday I called, got no answer and when I got there,I was told they sold the last ones this morning. Then Arms' fish weren't coming in because his supplier was having problems. He ended up getting less than half he was suppposed to at least a month late. They were gone when I called to find out something. ALL I WANTED WAS A BREEDING PAIR TO PLAY WITH! I called Overton and they're not getting anymore this year either. I'll have to wait till next year.

BrianH,
I have a HSB grow-out pond that I will be draining to transfer the HSB to my larger pond. That grow-out pond has Tilapia stocked in it. You are more than welcome to have as many of those (Tilapia) as you wish, free of charge, but I will not be draining the pond until the temps begin to fall off...that's for the sake of the HSB. If you are interested, let me know.

Does everyone note the Patron Saint's correct spelling of this fish as "TILAPIA" as opposed to tAlapia?
You don't want him to have to change his signature bar again!
Excerpt from Robert Crais' "The Monkey's Raincoat:" "She took another microscopic bite of her sandwich, then pushed it away. Maybe she absorbed nutrients from her surroundings."

When I typed "Talapia" I thought it didn't look right. It is "tilapia"? Meadowlark, great offer. I would love to have some in my barn through to the winter but I don't really want to drive across Texas to get them. You probably won't show up.
