I caught my first previously tagged fish tonight and would like to know if what I am seeing is normal.
First caught on 9/5/24, on a plastic worm at the opposite end of the pond. Length was 375 mm, Measured dec. lbm was 2.03, 116% RW Today it was caught on a spinnerbait, 390 mm, Measured dec. lbm 2.20 and 110% RW
Fish looks very healthy.
Should I be seeing the RW continue to climb? 484 days since stocked, stocking average length 38 mm Growth rate is steady at .73 mm per day.

2 Acre, Completed July 2022, CC,BG, Sept. 2022, LMB June 2023, 120 BG, 30 RES, 50 HBG all 4-6", 8 TGC 8-10", 1000 MF, Aug 2024, GSF, YBH washed in 2022.
I don't know what "normal" is but I do agree it's a great looking fish. Nice work with tracking the data on length over time as well. Makes me wonder if there's a "normal" drop in RW over the course of the summer that they start to regain in the fall as the temps cool back off as long as forage is available.

Fish growth rates change and are not steady for long. YOY growth rate is huge and slows over time. Many factors affect RW and it is not really intended to track individuals but is a whole population comparison as a fisheries tool. If you do the same type comparison for a number of fish and see the same across multiple sizes then that is fantastic. RW of one fish can be affected by all the whole population factors as well as something specific to that fish. Your pictured LMB looks healthy and is gaining weight and length. Nice work !
