"Mosquitofish, they are found most abundantly in shallow water protected from larger fish." OK
Do they routinely venture into the center of a pond, 3 acre ? Some small fish, I can't see them just the ripples from their feeding, feeds through out the pond at the surface as individuals & not in a school.
I have searched the internet but have not found an answer. If it feeds near the surface & the center of the pond, I have never seen a full grown adult, unless it is MM.
Any other SWAGs ?
Thanks

I stocked 1000 this year, I have only confirmed sightings around the perimeter and in shallow water with dense pond weed cover in the other areas of the pond. But I'll let the experts confirm

I think they come out to get some groceries. I’ll bet they also become groceries when they do.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

My gams stay real close to the edge and that doesn’t save them all the time.
