Happy Birthday!
Hope it is starting to get cool enough in Misery for some good family time out at the pond.

Excerpt from Robert Crais' "The Monkey's Raincoat:" "She took another microscopic bite of her sandwich, then pushed it away. Maybe she absorbed nutrients from her surroundings."

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Boy, if I say "sic em", you'd better look for something to bite. Sam Shelley Rancher and Farmer Muleshoe Texas 1892-1985 RIP

Thanks! Easy to know how old my pond is. I was sitting up there on my 60th BDay during construction. Today is the big 7-0.. So I guess I need to change my signature. My pond is 10! Ha. We were swimming up there last weekend. I do have an algae bloom coming on. Some of that weird orange stuff again. Pond is about 12” below full, but we are pretty far behind on rainfall. My pondweed tried to come back this year, but I think my crawfish are keeping it cut back to very small bunches. One of these days I need to fish it hard. Haven’t taken that many out this year. The grandkids are all into summer sports vs hanging out with Pops at the farm..
10 yr old pond, 1 ac, 15' deep. RES, YP, GS, FHM (no longer), HBG (decreasing), SMB, and HSB (only two have been seen in 5 yrs) I think that's about all I should put in my little pond. Otter attack in 2023.
