Its been 6+ years since I installed my diy aerator system in my 1/4 acre pond and its still running strong with very little maintenance.... Have not had to replace a thing except for repairs on wooden box holding everything. I do not run it in the winter but leave batteries in box and they suffer no harm....I added 2 more batteries since the video and run it on timer and a small light I can see from house to know everything is running. Its on about 8 hours during day and 6 during night during summer but less in Fall and Spring My next challenge is to get rid of all the cattails that have grown since then....
