Anyone have experience with lake chub suckers as bass forage? I am also very curious if anybody knows where I could actually get them. I have been looking for some new types of bait to raise out and experiment with in our bass lakes.

Lake Chubsucker - Previous thread

Not sure how this turned out but sounded like there was a bit of info here on a potential supplier.

IIRC, Todd Overton did have success growing chub suckers, but the low customer sales wouldn't warrant continuing doing so. Few Texans were familiar with them, so...

Anyone wanting to sample my 2 ponds in central Indiana that had LCS are welcome to visit me. I simply have not tried to determine if they persisted.

I have stocked about a dozen of them about 7-8” but haven’t seen any signs of them since

Lake chub suckers are great for bass if your lake already has them. Check with local fish hatcheries or bait shops, they often have connections. You can also find them at Aquatic Systems or Fish Hatchery Supply.
