Last weekend we received over 7 inches of rain. Couple of the ponds "flooded". My Texas Hunter fish feeder looked like this once the rain stopped.

Mine didn't go quite that far underwater. Moved it out.....opened it up cleaned a bit and let it dry out. Seems to be working fine. Your's on the other hand....wow....that's a lot of water.

Zep, A customer in Texas had a 400# TH feeder that was even deeper than yours, and FULL of feed.. I happened to be visiting him the day after the flood. We got it out, cleaned all the food out of it, gave the inside a good bath, opened up everything and set it in front of a fan for 2 days. He needed the timer and battery replaced, but that was 9 years ago and it's still working. LMK if you need parts and can't get them locally, I can ship them to you.

Zep,
Congrats on the rain. Full ponds before you go into summer!
Bummer about your feeder. Fingers crossed!

Hell Pat, I’m still about 5 ft low. But did get about 1/2 inch last night.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Mark, we did get a ton of rain last week. We're just now drying out.
Sorry about the feeder. But I had a few flooded before and they can be fixed far cheaper than buying a new one.

A few hours earlier this guy was replacing a tree light bulb in a different tree. We don't have any electric trees in Kansas. Ours only function as candles during big prairie fires.

Sorry to hear about your flooding and that the storm took out some mature trees. The house is fabulous. My wife would love the part log cabin and part stone facing look. As well as the cathedral ceiling in the great room. In fact, if you ever come home one day and find the entire house is missing, you should probably PM me to determine the whereabouts of my wife!

Rod, Zep's place is almost heaven.
Boondoggle, never look down when climbing a tall ladder. I drove a ladder truck for 15 years that had a 103' ladder mounted on a turntable. When we got on high industrial building roofs, it could flex as much as 4', much like a plane wing. That was a tad uncomfortable.

I'd be fine with driving the truck....Better have a co-pilot for the climbing a ladder like that.
Nice night view Zep. Beautiful place!

My new Sweeney feed fell into my lake a few months ago but I caught it before it floated off. Cleaned out all the wet pellets, left it open to dry for a couple of days, and sprayed it with WD40. Didn't have to replace anything and it's been working fine ever since.
