Curious if these are bluegill fry? Crappie? White perch? Caught them in a minnow trap but no minnows. Pond is only 53 degrees so doubt they are from this years spawn.

They mostly look like bluegill to me. The first pictures has a more odd vertical stripe, but still, a bluegill IMO.


EDIT: Maybe not so odd on the first picture.

You are welcome, and I agree that those fish were probably born last year.

Due to their smaller size, I would guess they're born late summer '23.
