I want to try raft gardening this year, I have been studying it for 4 years now and am ready to venture into it now. My first simple raft design that I came up with this morning based on materials that I have loads of and ease of construction. ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/EgfJ8V3.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/xChPbYH.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/RFq6eSo.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/phusj3L.jpg) This is the rough first prototype. I still need to rout some holes for the planters into the plastic panels and attach the end boards more securely. So far I have about 15 minutes into the construction and no cost. I have several thousand feet of this plastic from old fence on my farm that I hate and I have hundreds of dead slightly punky white fir logs that are not really any good for anything to use. I could make dozens of these raft setups quickly, easily and with no investment other than a little time. It will take some experimenting to get everything I want to grow growing but I am hopeful that I will be able grow a fair bit of produce on my ponds. Going to start on my bass pond as they should be less likely to eat dangling roots from the rafts. Any thoughts?

This I gotta see. I’m stoked.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
