Sunil - Are you going to let Brettsi get away that fake PB shirt comment? Very unlike you!

How old is that picture, Brettski? One of those ladies looks a little like my Grandma.

Say it ain't so, Theo! There's no way that Grandma Gallus, Queen of the church bazaar and ice cream social, could possibly have any connection to a trailer park block party in Texas! Nope, and don't crush all that is good and wholesome with the insinuation that Grannie G. even considered throwing bread crumbs to doves. OMG, it just hit me....please, please don't let her nickname be Roy or Oscar! \:o

Dwight, I'm still miffed at how Brettski knew about my old tye-dye tee shirts.

Budokan, Man....the lights...uuhhhhhh.....did the show start yet???

:D Brettski, for as many years as they were able, Grannie G., her 7 siblings (from Baptist parents), their spouses, and many offspring, got together every Saturday night to drink, smoke, eat, and gamble. At an early age, I learned 1) excessive smoking makes me nauseous, 2) never mix bourbon and scotch, 3) never bet money you can't afford to lose, 4) how and when to double down, 5) you can always count on your Euchre partner for one trick, but not if it's Uncle Ellis, and 6) the importance of either wearing proper support undergarments or tucking your shirt in.

She was a grand old dame, and I miss her very much.

I own and operate a farm with crops and livestock, I have 3 ponds on the property.(300+ acres) 2 of the ponds are manmade for irrigation and watering livestock. I have fences and signs and still have people who ignore the signs jump the fences and visit the ponds for swimming and fishing (Yes even though there are no fish in the manmade ponds people sit and fish.) Where I am located state county and local regulations on posting property states that signs have to be posted every 50 feet along the property line and at all areas used for access to the property.
Stick to regular No Trespassing signs and Private Property signs. Avoid signs that say trespassers will be shot as the courts will look at that as premeditation and spin it that you wanted to shoot someone. If anything use signs that say the police will be involved and that they will be charged and prosecuted.
I also use signs that warn that security cameras are in use and post dummy fake cameras. Call the police when someone trespasses and let the police deal with it since thats what our tax dollars are used for. wont stop all trespassers but there will be less repeat offenders.

northfisher, we have had a MUCH more recent thread (within the last year) on trespassers, signs, and fencing you should look for.

That being said, it is wonderful to see this thread again. Good times.
