I am not a Vet. It might? be a poxvirus growth displayed as warty lesions that is viral based. Lymphocystis disease is one example. If you want a professional opinion take it to a Veterinary. PS that fish is not a pure strain bluegill. It is a hybrid BG probably a cross of BG and green sunfish aka HBG.
