My dad has a 70 lb capacity feeder from Texas Hunter that has not been slinging food at set times for roughly a month now.
Here's everything we have tried thus far:
-switched to a spare timer we had on hand. Both the original and replacement timers would operate perfectly fine with test mode, but no motor activation with auto-feed
-replaced the battery. Swapping the battery to a known charged and functional battery triggered both spinners with reverse polarity and allowed testing mode to work.
-cleaned the contacts for the motor harness plugs.
-used thin wire to trigger the spinner motors with a known functioning battery.
This has been a serious exercise in frustration trying to get this feeder working properly, and we have some freshly hatched bluegills in the pond we are trying to feed.

May I assume that the feed has not been bridging and sticking inside the feeder?

Strange that it would just stop all at once. You said you had a spare timer. Was it a TH timer, or another brand? If it's a TH, then do you have 2 feeders?

Call Texas Hunter and speak to them.

All three timers I tried were TH timers, the original one plus two replacements

Maybe a bit blunt, but first of all, call Texas Hunter and they WILL fix the issue. Second, there is nothing you will throw with the feeder that will greatly enhance your fresh hatch BG and the adults don't feed heavy during the spawn. I'm not sure "reverse polarity" is a good thing.

I've had very similar issues with one of my TH feeders, Tech. Less than a year old, everything looks great until it's time to feed. I called, but still no progress fixing it.

They got sold. New owners.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

A bit of an update: I contacted TH and the person I spoke with suspects the batteries weren't putting out the correct amperage. Connecting a 12V battery tester to three known functioning batteries gave a "weak" readout. Those batteries are being charged overnight, and i suspect the solar panel wasn't charging the last battery used as it was supposed to.

Solar charger won’t charge a low battery, only keeps it charged from my experience, probably replace it

It gets dust/tree sap/junk on it and that reduces the output of the solar panel. Best, cheapest way to test batteries is this thing from Harbor Freight: https://www.harborfreight.com/100-amp-612v-battery-load-tester-61747.html![[Linked Image from harborfreight.com]](https://www.harborfreight.com/media/catalog/product/cache/9fc4a8332f9638515cd199dd0f9238da/6/1/61747_W3.jpg)
