I have a 5 acre pond with a air max aerator. On one end of my pond I made a sandy beach for the kids but there are some kind of snails, dead and alive, all over the edge of the beach and in the water. What can I do to get rid of them and what causes them to come to my pond?

Stock RES - they love to eat snails and are swimmer friendly.

Like Theo said, stock RES. I'd put in between 250 and 500 per surface acre because some will get eaten by the residents of the pond.

If you are going to stock adult RES you can use much lower numbers.

Are you from the Alma around Fort Worth?
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
