This is in a one acre wetland pond that I put 10-15 fingerling LMB in six or seven years ago. I have never seen them spawning in it before but have seen a few smaller bass so they had to have. Well yesterday I saw a nice 12"+ bass on a nest for the very first time...kind of made my day. There are some green sunfish in it that just came naturaly but not nearly as many as there used to be. The pond is pretty weedy and I have put alot of FHM and some bigger GSH in it..thinking of adding some BG for diversity and for the LMB.

If the bass are spawning and thriving, then I think adding the BG is a good plan.
After all, a LMB can only eat so many GSF for dinner before she gets a hankering for some tastier fare!

If you do add BG then add 5 inch BG and only a few - maybe 25. See how they do first.

Thanks, I think I'll head down to my local hatchery this weekend and try the 25 and see how it goes.
