Hello. Are their any members who know Clam fingernails and their larvae. I should have kept them an put them in culture to see the speed of propagation, the size of the larvae and if they are attracted by the light. I read that the larvae are part of the Zooplankton and move with cilia and serve as food for the fish larvae. ![[Linked Image from i.ibb.co]](https://i.ibb.co/QjzWMWh/IMG-2749.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i.ibb.co]](https://i.ibb.co/qrX33gr/IMG-2740.jpg) A+

Hello.
I went to look for clams, there was 2 inches of ice on the swamp.
I was surprised to see so many Daphnia under the ice it was full. A+

Hello.
In the swamp I see the clam in great quantity, they climb easily on the rocks, on the pot of my culture they climb on the walls.
In the spring I will put a large quantity of it in my pond.
Oh yes, I saw that in Korea they eat them and it is very expensive,( they don't say which species). A+

Hello. Well well, the Fingernails clam don't lay eggs, but release young already formed. I could see these young already too big for the fish larvae, they seem to be released without a shell, but they are very small. I searched on the net for picture of baby Fingernails I did not find any. I was able to see them in my culture and take pictures. ![[Linked Image from i.ibb.co]](https://i.ibb.co/gFvZ7pt/IMG-3234.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i.ibb.co]](https://i.ibb.co/mCLcPg7/IMG-3242.jpg) A+

Yes the non-native trapdoor snails in my pond also release live young. A few seem to survive to adulthood despite the hungry PS and YP. A picture on the web: Trapdoor snail with young
