We had a torrential downpour that injected quite a bit of silt into the pond. Away from the inflow the pond was clear & unaffected. That is, except where the aerator was running in about 10' of water at the other end of the pond. Apparently, as the silt headed down to the bottom, unseen, out toward the middle of the pond, the aerator was picking it back up and sending it back up to the surface as can be easily seen in the drone photo below. The inflow, which can't be seen on the photo, is coming in from a cove off the bottom center of the photo. I thought this was a pretty cool illustration of an aerator in action.
