The family and I have really been enjoying snorkeling with the fish and swimming in general. I have learned a lot about the fish feeding and schooling behavior by observing them underwater. Small channel cats create little caves under FA and hide during the day. Bluegill will follow you all around and are very curious. My pond is under half an acre and to me it’s too small to pursue much of a fishery other than a sight fishing or just catch to harvest. I have been focusing on some exotics to see what works and to create a different food chain. You can hand feed most of the fish underwater and I think I could feed train large bass easily by starting with dead fish. I have some saltwater species who are eating the Aquamax feed too. Anyone else snorkel in their pond or lake?

Yes, but you need a fish selection that isn't skittish. My pond clarity, while excellent, isn't good enough to see the perch and black crappie flee from my large pink buoyant carcass. The solitary bluegill however, comes right over and bites me because it is a little jerk.

Snorkel and scuba. Fun to sit on the bottom and watch. Thinking about a Hooka setup.
