Over 50 years ago, my Grandpa gave me a metal (stainless steel IMHO) "Hookmaster" snelled hook holder (very similar or identical to this partial picture I found on-line)
[Linked Image from img.photobucket.com]
which is STILL in perfect condition. It holds about 20 snelled hooks, half on each side.

Wanting another snelled hook holder (for a different tackle box) I bought a plastic one which has started to fall apart after only about 20 years (damn plastic crap!!!! shocked ). I will be replacing it and would love to get another one made from stainless (or another metal) with the thought that someday I can pass it on to kids or hopefully grandkids.

Does anyone know where one can buy a new metal snelled hook holder?

Maybe don't use snelled hooks as only weaklings use them????

Theo,

I also have a metal snelled hook holder from my grandfather.

That being said, perhaps the best place to buy one now is an estate sale where someone is selling their deceased grandfather's fishing tackle?

It is probably not worth your time just for the hook holder, but who knows what other "treasures" you might find?

I think I may have one. I will have to go through a bunch of tackle boxes to find out whether I do.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Theo, I think they were made from aluminum?

Aluminum is fine. It won't take a magnet either way.

What else? Naps take priority over searching tackle boxes.
