After fixing a pond dam that blew out from beavers stopping up the overflow pipe. We have noticed water coming from under ground on back side of pond. The pond had been sitting without water for years. It’s feed by a creek that’s coming from higher ground. There’s water also leaching from ground on left side of pond up higher than pond in the field. Year ago when pond was built the way it was cored was by blasting the ground and filling with clay from What I was told. Not 100% it’s leaking from the core or dam, but possibly a spring. This didn’t have anything to do with our work, but I’d like to help the customer out as much as possible with the issue. What can be done about this. The water is draining to the creek below dam where overflow pipes empty into, but I don’t like how it stays wet and soggy. Thanks
Hi Garrett and welcome to the forum. I work with pond management and pond builders nationwide to help try to identify origins of leaks and knock them out. I’m a volunteer for the forum and my time is free to all members. Feel free to reach out anytime I’m happy to help however I can. Tj@hudlandmgmt.com
