A few days ago I caught a 2 lb LM bass and was tempted to put it in my pond, But the population of bass is growing from successful spawns as are some of the bass that have grown to over 14". I mostly want to stock perch, green and pumpkinseed sunfish and crappie and hopefully those species will spawn. The 3 triploid carp (2 3/4 lbs.) are keeping certain types of weeds down by their constant feeding thereby reducing cover for fingerlings. At least the pads are doing well and spreading to different parts of the pond and there is a nice carpet of leafy bottom weeds in the shallow which the carp don't eat. ![[Linked Image]](https://forums.pondboss.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=download&Number=17759&filename=IMG_4891.JPG) ![[Linked Image]](https://forums.pondboss.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=download&Number=17762&filename=IMG_4892.JPG) ![[Linked Image]](https://forums.pondboss.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=download&Number=17763&filename=IMG_4890.JPG) ![[Linked Image]](https://forums.pondboss.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=download&Number=17764&filename=IMG_4889.JPG)

Looks good, you may want to jump on those cattails before they become a problem. What species are the lily pads?

FYI as a management note YP , GSF , PS and crappie all have a high probability of stunting in ponds. Can be managed and learning about each species before using is a good idea. Good luck and let us know how things work out.
