Just sharing a system I made to remove chara from my half acre pond. I got tired of throwing a rake real fast, seemed like I wasn't gaining anything. I built this drag out of steel I had laying around. Its 15 feet wide and about 4 feet high. I used some wire goat fence I had for the Seine. I have 250 feet of steel cable attached to it and pull it across the bottom from the other side with my quad. Check out the pics
Dnunes, Impressive! I love diy stuff that ends up working out. I’m not sure if chara is spread by fragmentation but you seem to have found a solution that’s effective for removing it and relatively easy to remove unwanted vegetation. Thanks for sharing!
