I thought it was just random, but every time I fish on the dock something bites me and it is not mosquitos or anything like that. According to the bites, they look like spider bites. They take over a week to heal! What can I spray or use that will not hurt my pond too much?

Are you getting bitten in the water or out of the water on land?

Sitting on the dock. It is only one or two bites at a time. Last lime it was the side of my stomach and on the back of my leg knee high. Also got a bite on my wrist a couple of weeks ago. None around waste band or socks. It is not chiggers. I have gotten into them before.

If it hurts lick heck when you get bitten, look at deer or horse flies.

Look into and explore the bites could be from no-see-ums a very tiny hard to see insect that is common around water. Its life cycle in mostly in the water bodies.
